They should try this slogan: "The National Debt Clock. We started it, so only we can stop it!"
That should win them lots of votes.

Actually all this posturing about the debt will cease the day after the election should Romney win the presidency. After which the debt and deficit "won't matter".

I've found over the last several decades that those people who label themselves 'conservatives' only care about the debt/deficit because it gives them a handy weapon to use against 'liberals.'
